Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using ShelfList ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Description of Service
ShelfList is a mobile application that allows users to create and manage grocery lists and pantry inventory. The App operates entirely offline and stores all data locally on your device.
License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use.
You May:
- Use the App for personal grocery list and pantry management
- Install the App on devices you own or control
- Create unlimited lists and items within the App
You May Not:
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the App to third parties
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the App
Offline Functionality
The App is designed to work completely offline. We do not provide any cloud services, online storage, or data synchronization features. All data is stored locally on your device.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your device
- Backing up your data using your device's built-in backup features
- Any data loss that may occur due to device failure, app deletion, or other circumstances
- Ensuring your use of the App complies with applicable laws and regulations
Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, features, graphics, and content, is owned by ShelfList and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand features.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet your specific requirements
- The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- Any errors in the App will be corrected
- The App will be compatible with all devices or operating systems
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SHELFLIST BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR LOSS OF USE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Data Backup
Since all data is stored locally on your device, we strongly recommend that you regularly back up your device using your operating system's built-in backup features (such as iCloud for iOS or Google Drive for Android). We are not responsible for any data loss.
Updates and Modifications
We may update the App from time to time to add new features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Updates may be provided through the App Store or Google Play Store. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App at any time without notice.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if you violate these Terms.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ShelfList operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
